"So our first entry is our positive and our negative, our good and our bad...[anyways we're writing about what happened over our weekends.]"
Well you see.
I was
I was at home on
Friday
and
Well not the whole Friday because I was partially at school.
And we dragged my sister to the football game.
And then on Saturday I resurrected the Ming Dynasty and took over the world.
You'd better get used to what the Ming flag looks like because it's going to be everywhere.
Then on Sunday I went to church.
And then I went to the fireside at 6:00.
And then I ate food.
And then I slept but this closes off at 12:00 Sunday night so--

SO---------

GOODNESS
SO-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I guess I have to cheat.
So I woke up at 5:00 on Monday.
And now I am at school and it is 8:57 AM MST.
10/15/13
I did http://www.scouting.org/, just like the other 3/4 of the class who did as well.
So you see here, the scouting emblem is particularly prevalent on this webpage.
At the head of the page are links designed to provide an appropriate experience for different age groups and demotypes.
There is also a nice blue and white gradient border.
However I think that perhaps the middle of the screen, which is not background, would look better if it cast a shadow and looked like it was standing above the background.
Yeah. Definitely.

The prompt is this:
Tell me one good thing and one bad thing that happened over the weekend.
end quote.
haha
get it
haaaaaaaaa
Okay one good thing that happened over the weekend was I got to watch General Conference.
And one bad thing was that Obama was not impeached.
Darn.
Maybe next weekend!!!
Does that satisfy the prompt?
It should.
But it doesn't satisfy the entire two-minutes-of-constant-typing-thing-even-though-that's-almost-impossible-and-oh-my-gosh-I-pressed-one-of-the-monitor's-buttons-and-now-it's-asking-me-if-I-want-to-change-the-brightness-aghhhhhhhhhhhhh

My assignment was to find the website of a celebrity.
This counts.
So it's a very nice grey.
I mean it has a bunch of black and white photographs so the grey goes along well.
There's even a slideshow.
That's pretty dang fancy.
But you have to click the slideshow before it starts playing.
Oh and it's very informative too.
"Go ahead and wrap up your observations"
And then we've got Part 2, which is posting interesting and cool things people have done with Photoshop.

So what we did was we researched these things called Bed and Breakfasts.
Maybe every motel is a Bed and Breakfast and they just call it by that weird name in a weird part of the American world.
Except I shouldn't say American world because it seems a large portion of the demotype that comes here is made up of tourists.
So anyways here are the two websites I used:

I got to go to Church on Sunday, that's always fun.
My weekend was the same as most of my other weekends.
Is that a bad thing?
One minute is an incredibly long time.
I think you should actually just give us a minute to write an answer.
Question 2: Where did I see good design over the weekend?
South Chapel has really nice design, if you must know.
Yeah.
The design is really nice.
So.
So it's good design.
09/24/13
Okay.
So today I read http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/taiwan/archives/2013/09/24/2003572883/1.
Basically it reports about a writer for a newspaper whose paper wasn't published on the seventeenth. The article he wrote was about Wang Jin-pyng (I believe), who he says is being scapegoated for the Ma administration's incompetence. Wang Jin-pyng was formally KMT until recently when Ma Ying-jeou, being Chairman, removed that status. Not having a political party removed his ability to be a lawmaker so Wang is now no longer a lawmaker. The trial involved accusations that Wang had accepted I think it was a $200,000 USD bribe from DPP (Democratic Progressive Party) to act in their favor (this being based on Wang' opposition to the FTA).
The article says Ma has brought a period of soft-"White Terror."
9/25/13
I read about two things.
The first was a free dog-sitting app. Anybody can register to become a dog-sitter; the app facilitates this so that people can go on their app to find local dog-sitters. The average rate for a dog-sitter is 40% less than that of a typical dog kennel.
also
I read about a possibly new mud island caused by earthquakes or landslides in Pakistan.
Locals say that it is actually not new, that it surfaced before and then sank again in a year.

- In 2011, 3,331 people were killed in crashes involving a distracted driver, compared to 3,267 in 2010. An additional, 387,000 people were injured in motor vehicle crashes involving a distracted driver, compared to 416,000 injured in 2010.
- 10% of injury crashes in 2011 were reported as distraction-affected crashes.
- As of December 2012, 171.3 billion text messages were sent in the US (includes PR, the Territories, and Guam) every month.(CTIA)
- 11% of all drivers under the age of 20 involved in fatal crashes were reported as distracted at the time of the crash. This age group has the largest proportion of drivers who were distracted.
- For drivers 15-19 years old involved in fatal crashes, 21 percent of the distracted drivers were distracted by the use of cell phones (NHTSA)
- At any given daylight moment across America, approximately 660,000 drivers are using cell phones or manipulating electronic devices while driving, a number that has held steady since 2010. (NOPUS)
The sources get even less reliable so I omitted those.

Website Critique Definitions
taipeitimes.com
Visual Hierarchy:
Unity/Consistency: A unified or consistent website is a website that follows all the design rules it sets for itself the entire time.
Grid/Layout: This basically determines how much of what you do is contributed to x and how much to y.
Navigation: I suppose this would be the order of events one has to take to get somewhere on a webpage. Navigation should typically direct most easily to the most-trafficked page.
Typography: This is basically which font you choose to apply to your text and I think that anybody with a brain (including you) should know why that is important.
Audience: This is your viewer base. Your website should appeal to this or your desired viewer base.
Color: Typically this is the color palette you use on your website.
Content: Details and everything inside.
Graphics: Pictures, visual detail, et cetera, blah blah
Overall Effectiveness: This is just a bunch of words trying to describe if or if not the visual schemes one is using on his website are going well together.

WARM COLORS VS COOL COLORS
Red ->
Oh yeah before I begin my only source is http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2010/01/28/color-theory-for-designers-part-1-the-meaning-of-color/ because this is basically all that's about.
SO
Red -> Indicates prosperity in China, Communism; references danger, can be construed to portray blood, also associated with fire, action and warfare.
Orange -> Described as a calmer derivative of red (or anyways concerning its emotion-evoking properties) which is (obviously) more closely associated with fire but, when muted, is representative of -- oh let's see -- "...health and vitality...earth and with autumn." Fascinating!1111
Yellow -> According to this webpage it's associated with hope, happiness, cowardice and courage (yeah), mourning and mercantilism.
Obviously these are in different cultures.
By the way Yellow is the only good color and all the others are there to make sure there's not too much of a good thing.
Oh I didn't get that from the website though.
Blue -> OH MY GOSH NO I'M NOT EVEN DONE
FALSE ALARM
OKAY
BLUE -> IS A COLOR
THAT
THAT
I'm all better now.
Blue is a light-mixing primary color (a list of these being red, yellow, and blue) and also a pigmentary primary color on the RGB mixing format (Red, Green, Blue) for computers or.. something..
...
Something like that.
There are probably three thousand (out of 7.108 billion) people who really know for sure.
"...often associated with sadness in the English language [and we don't know why we're putting this here because words aren't colors]...also used extensively to represent calmness and responsibility. Light blues can be refreshing and friendly. Dark blues are more strong and reliable. [And there's a lot more you won't care about.]"
Well, isn't that nice?
Green -> Seriously? The article doesn't say ANYTHING about Islam.
Okay I'll do it for them.
Dark greens represent Islamism. And it represents grass.
Purple -> They're right, purple really was long associated with royalty. I believe the Roman word for purple actually references royalty -- something to do with the purple color of a baby prince's wrapping or.. anyways, so was green and they didn't mention it in green. I think they left pretty much everything out of there.
Well! Pretty sure that's all!

I am assuming "your journal entry" is self-explanatory and does not involve anything else.
By the way that counts as one of my sentences.
And that too.
So yeah.
alright change of plans
HTML is a coding language.
Color Theory is a sort of standard artists can use to try and determine what and which colors go well together.

Wait what?
What are we supposed to be typing about?
I'm too dang confused.
Agh.
Agh.
I still have nothing to type about either.
Because you see the method here is to act like I am actually doing something and that is probably what everyone else is doing and what they're supposed to be doing.
GOSH DANG IT THE MUSIC IS BACK ON
WHY DO PEOPLE LISTEN TO MUSIC
ESPECIALLY THIS MUSIC
GAH
Okay.
I'm still typing.
I wonder how many times I'm going to say that this year.

There's still nothing to wtrite about these objectives?!?!?!
!
?!?!?!?!?
!
Do you think I'm some kind of mystic?
"Queue"
"[Box]"
"[Arrows pointing in three different directions]"
Wow fascinating is THAT what I'm supposed to write about?
Anyways.
Today I thought I'd talk about elephants
I don't really know much about elephan--
WAIT
OKAY
Did you know that elephants flap their ears to maintain their body temperature?
When they get too hot, blood flows up veins in their ears.
Flapping these ears (which I imagine is easier with all that blood) gets the air to cool them off.
I think that's pretty cool.
What the heck are Indian elephants, anyways?
And did you know African elephants are the largest elephants?
But I'm actually not sure which is more closely related to mammoths.
And I realize it might be that obvious.
And um.
I don't like this music really.
That's a nice tidbit.
I still haven't really typed about anything.
"Wrap up your sentence."
Gahhh
I hardly got three seconds.
I now have a several-second setback.
Actually I'm just going to use this moment to type 9/04.
9/04/13
OKAY
WHAT THE HECK IS THE SUBJECT TODAY
AND NO, I DON'T LIKE THE MUSIC WHILST TYPING
FLOW CHART IS NO OBJECTIVE
HOWEVER I DO LIKE USING CAPS LOCK
IT'S REALLY ADDICTIVE
AND
YEAH
UM
HEY GUESS WHAT

DID YOU
HEAR
ABOUT
SONAR
BECAUSE I DIDN'T
and
it's 8:53
and
the Pope is Catholic and the Queen a Brit
and she really has no power over Canada
and
it's 8:54
and
I think this song is telling me what to type.
But I am just going to ignore it because I am heavily prejudiced against songs while I am typing.
blahblahblahblahblah

OH
DID YOU KNOW THE SONG DYNASTY INVENTED STEAMBOATS FIRST!?

Never mind.
It was a rock.
Hey, there are some rocks in the background!
Can you see them?
I bet they look like rocks in real life too.
With
uh
with
...
this song is clapping.
It's not a song, then.
It's some sort of ritualistic cultist chant.
Help me.
I am being sacrificed to the cultists!!!
Oh somebody got rid of the cultists and started singing in their place.
Or maybe it was just a rival band of cultists.
I hope these guys don't do human sacrifices at least.
No, I think they do human sacrifices.
The rocks are still there.
Good rocks.
They're not even rocks they're just pixels construed to portray rocks.
Too bad, isn't it?
I wonder how much a--
WHY DOES ANYBODY LISTEN TO THIS MUSIC!?!?!?
Oh my.
Time's up.
Gee that's funny.
I'm still typing too I wonder why that is.
Today it is the eleventh of September
It is also 9/11
and
this is my 9/11 bellringer
Today we are talking about rocks.
...
I wonder how far I could stretch this page by abusing the space bar more than I already have.
ANYWAY
IT'S A VERY LOVELY WEBSITE THAT I'M SUPPOSED TO BE MAKING SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO IMPROVE
I THINK THERE SHOULD BE MORE BOATS THOUGH
BUT
THERE FIRST NEEDS TO BE WATER
SO I THINK THERE SHOULD BE MORE WATER AND MORE BOATS

"And this is today's assignment."
Theoretically, good design looks however the dang heck I want it to.
Semantically, good design looks however the dang heck I want it to.
Hypothetically, good design looks however the dang heck I want it to.
Practically, good design looks however the dang heck I want it to.
The way it has been described is adherence to current fashion trends.
In my very bedroom?!?!?!
Now that's just plain silly.
Silly silly silly.
That is why good design looks however the dang heck I want it to.
These last a really long time.
By this point you should know that I am talking about the Bellringer.
THIS

"Thirty more seconds!!"
This has been a long thirty seconds.
Oh hi.
It's now the thirteenth of September.
And right now I'm going to find me a Website to do something or other but I believe the general gist of this is to list two things I like about it --
GOSH I HATE THIS KEYBOARD
THE KEYBOARDS IN THE LIBRARY ARE THE BEST KEYBOARDS IN THE WORLD BUT THESE
UGH
-- and two things I don't.
oh goody I found one in the massive and uninhabited void that is the World Wide Web

Now as you can see there is a w in the URL.
Following it is another w or an i depending on how you want to look at it.
Now you can go to either another w, a previously mentioned w, another w that isn't the same w as the w I'm referencing in the prior clause and a k.
At the end of all that is a /.
And then when you click on it it turns purple because as we all know the color purple is only there to make sure that there's not too much of a good thing.
That had better not be Cantonese.
I don't think it's Mandarin though.

One good thing that happened during my weekend was that on Sunday I slept in until 9:15.
Actually that's really not usually a good thing.
And one bad thing I guess is that I slept in until 9:15.
How much do I have to type?
"Until I tell you to stop"

A.D.D.I.E is an acronym which stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation.
It applies to web design because these are five generic steps to follow in the testing process.
Yeah.
So you see, it's relevant because those five generic steps are very typical to this sort of work and..
and..
And it's really important to follow.

So I have just read that a lot of cars get in car accidents when car accidents occur and that when car accidents occur a lot of drivers are hurt when drivers are in car accidents and also a sustained number of passengers are also hurt when a sustained number of passengers are in car accidents and suffer injuries and a similar thing applies to drivers and glass is very sharp and if you hit another car it is really bad because glass breaks and since it is very sharp and very fragile it will easily hurt people in car accidents which causes damage to one's health which is really bad and that is why a lot of car drivers are hurt when they are in car accidents and also car passengers in car accidents.

This assignment has been saved within the nexus of the Universe which is very secure and you will never get to it unless you ask.
As in "Please."

Three Minutes of Heaven
Unfortunately this assignment was stolen by a dragon.
You will have to invade its hoard to get it back.
More unfortunately, you can't because you will die.
You will have to invade its hoard to get it back.
More unfortunately, you can't because you will die.

FLOW CHART IS NO OBJECTIVE

and
I think this song is telling me what to type.
But I am just going to ignore it because I am heavily prejudiced against songs while I am typing.
blahblahblahblahblah

Yeah.
Oh look I think that's--
9/12/13
"And this is today's assignment."
Theoretically, good design looks however the dang heck I want it to.
Semantically, good design looks however the dang heck I want it to.
Hypothetically, good design looks however the dang heck I want it to.
Practically, good design looks however the dang heck I want it to.
The way it has been described is adherence to current fashion trends.
In my very bedroom?!?!?!
Now that's just plain silly.
Silly silly silly.
That is why good design looks however the dang heck I want it to.
These last a really long time.
By this point you should know that I am talking about the Bellringer.
THIS
KEYBOARD
IS
TERRIBLE
GOSH
I'M THINKING ABOUT STEALING THE COMPUTER'S KEYBOARD NEIGHBORING MINE TO THE LEFT
